How to Make Chicken BBQ Roll

Prepare the BBQ Chicken Filling:

  • In a pan, heat oil and sauté garlic, ginger, and green chilies.
  • Add boneless chicken (shredded or cubed) and cook until tender.
  • Mix in BBQ sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, and a splash of vinegar.
  • Season with red chili powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and a pinch of sugar.
  • Let the mixture simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Add chopped onions, capsicum, and fresh coriander for extra flavor.
  • Let the filling cool before assembling.

Prepare the Wraps (For Homemade Dough):

  • Make a soft dough using flour, salt, oil, and water.
  • Let it rest for 15–20 minutes, then roll out into thin flatbreads (roti).
  • Cook lightly on a pan and set aside. (Skip this step if using store-bought wraps or parathas.)

Assemble the Rolls:

  • Place the BBQ chicken filling in the center of the wrap.
  • Add shredded lettuce, sliced onions, and garlic mayo or cheese sauce.
  • Sprinkle chili flakes and a squeeze of lemon for extra flavor.
  • Roll tightly and wrap in butter paper or foil.

Cook (Optional):

  • Pan-fry with a little butter or oil until golden brown.
  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes for a crispy texture.
